The development trend of future design is human-centered design

This article by Donald Norman mainly discusses the main considerations of social design today and the development trend of social design in the future, that is, more consideration should be given to the emotional feelings and experience brought by the design in the design, and to meet the physiological needs of people. On the basis of meeting people’s psychological needs, so as to make the design human-centered, this is the ultimate goal of design.

1.The purpose of the final product is to improve the quality of life of the people who use it.

Don’t rush to solve the problem, but research repeatedly to find the root cause and need, not the superficial phenomenon. Design is no longer limited to visual effects, but to combine practicality and rationality. “Design today is much more than a craft, with technically trained people producing beautiful objects. ”（Donald Norman，2018）We are not concerned with the development of beautiful things, but to add value to any activity and bring a new framework to look at the world.The emotion of design art is based on a certain purpose. If the design does not have a certain practicality and only has an aesthetic function, even if it is beautiful, it is not a good design. Apple’s products are a good example.
